Mitch Parker, Chief Information Security Officer, Indiana University Health

Mitch Parker is the Chief Information Security Officer, at Indiana University Health. Mitch has 11 years’ experience in this role, having established effective organization-wide programs at multiple organizations. He is responsible for providing policy and governance oversight and research, third-party vendor guidance, proactive vulnerability research and threat modeling services, payment card and financial systems security, and security research to IU Health and IU School of Medicine. Mitch is joining this panel as a representative of the healthcare industry.

 

Jeff Barnhill, Executive Director of Technology, CarDon

Jeff Barnhill has led an impressive 20-year career as a Senior Network Engineer and IT Director. He was recently named as the first CISO for CarDon and Associates, a Senior Living Company caring for over 3000 residents throughout Indiana and Cincinnati, Ohio. Jeff is leading CarDon through the implementation of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and seeks to strengthen CarDon’s security posture by improving their best asset, The Human Firewall. Jeff joins this panel as a representative of the healthcare industry.

 

Valerie David, IT Security Director of Identity, CNO Financial Group

Valerie David serves as the IT Security Director of Identity at CNO Financial Group. She has over 18 years of experience in Information Technology with a focus on Identity & Access Management covering all areas in Governance & Risk Management, Operations, Project Management and Data Analytics at CNO Financial, Cognizant Technology Services, First Data, HP and EDS corporations. Valerie joins this panel as a representative of the financial industry.

 

Jeff Brobst, Vice President, Infrastructure Shared Services, Rexnord

Jeff Brobst spent six years in the US Navy on Destroyers working on missile systems including anti-Air and Tomahawk land attack. From there, he led teams in the manufacturing space at Epson America. He has been at Rexnord in corporate IT for over 24 years, raising through the ranks from plant-floor IT support to Systems Engineering up to Vice President IT – Infrastructure Shared Services. He’s lead multiple global initiatives, including building Rexnord’s cybersecurity practice from the ground-up building on frameworks like NIST CSF, implementing industry standard data security and classification, next-gen firewalls, and most recently choosing and adopting an MDR while working to ensure the security of Rexnord’s network, domain controllers, and humans…changing the culture to “security first.”
